Website QR Code Generator
Create a QR code that links directly to any website or page.
Generate a QR code for a website URL that can be scanned by any smartphone. Ideal for posters, business cards, or printed materials.
How to use this planning tool
Enter the complete website address, including https://, then select Generate QR Code. Use Download QR Code to save the image. For example, https://www.calcgenius.ca/ creates a code pointing to the CalcGenius homepage. Check the spelling, path, and any query parameters before generating it.
WHAT THE CODE CONTAINS
The image encodes the website address you entered. It does not contain a saved copy of the page. A person scanning it normally needs an internet connection, and the destination must remain available. If you change the encoded address, generate and distribute a new image. Updating the contents of the same destination page is different from changing its address.
TEST THE DOWNLOADED VERSION
Scan the saved image with a phone and confirm that it opens the intended page. Test it again at the size and on the material you plan to use. A code that scans on a bright monitor may behave differently on a small, reflective, or low-quality print.
KEEP THE CODE READABLE
Preserve its square shape, use strong contrast, and leave an unobstructed blank margin around it. The QR standard’s quiet zone is at least four small code squares wide on each side. Do not crop this margin or place nearby text over it. Avoid stretching the image or adding artwork across its pattern.
This generator uses an external QR-image service, so the entered address is sent to that service to create the image. Use a destination you intend to share, and avoid private or one-time access links. Scan and check the final destination before distributing printed copies.
