Create a Wi-Fi QR code using the exact network name, password, and security type.

Example: generate a code for your Guest WiFi network, then test it with a phone before displaying it. People who can scan the code can use the included network credentials.

Enter the exact Wi-Fi network name (SSID), choose its Security Type, and enter the password for a secured network. Select Generate Wi-Fi QR Code, then use Download QR Code to save the image. Capitalization, spaces, and punctuation in the network details must match the router’s settings.

OPEN NETWORKS AND PASSWORDS

For a network with no password, choose None ( Open Network ) in the Security Type field and leave the password blank. There is no separate “no password” option in the password field. For WPA / WPA2 or WEP, enter the correct password. A blank password should not be used to describe a secured network.

HIDDEN-NETWORK SETTING

Enable Hidden Network only when the router does not broadcast the network name. This setting describes the network; it does not hide or encrypt the credentials inside the QR code. If the router’s settings change, generate a new code with the updated information.

TEST BEFORE SHARING

For example, create a code for a guest network using its actual SSID and security settings. Scan the downloaded image with a compatible phone while in range and confirm the connection prompt and network name. Device support varies, and a phone may request confirmation rather than connecting automatically. Keep the square image sharp and preserve its blank border when printing.

The current generator sends the entered network details to an external QR-image service to create the code. Anyone who can access the code can recover its included credentials. Share it only with intended users, preferably for a guest network, and replace distributed codes if those credentials change.
